Solidworks Drawing Slot Center Mark
This will show up as an end-on axis in your drawing, i.e a 'center mark'. In the case of an obround slot (one of the commonest uses for this), just put a centerline through one of the arc centers parallel to the slot extent, and another perpendicular centerline through the midpoint of the straight side, and an Axis Point at their intersection.
- To place a center mark in a sketch: Click Center Mark (Annotations toolbar). Under Manual Insert Options, select Slot center mark. Select other options for the center mark type. In the graphics area, select an arc or curved edge of a slot and click.
- Center Mark PropertyManager. Set the properties when inserting center marks in drawings. The properties available vary depending on the type of center mark selected. To display the Center Mark PropertyManager: In a drawing, click Center Mark (Annotations toolbar) or Insert Annotations Center Mark.

SolidWorks Tutorials 6: How to Draw Straight Slot
Using the “Straight Slots” tool, you can draw linear slots on the sketch entity. Two of the drawing methods are Straight slots and Centerpoint slots. These slots have additional option in property manager menu like center to center and overall length setting.
Step 1
Open the Solidworks and New part File. If you don’t know it, Read How to Create New Part File. Select the Plane (e.g. Top Plane) and normalize using the “Normal To” Button.
Step 2
You can access the “Straight Slots Tool” button from the command manager and Menubar. Click on the Straight slot button to select it which is shown in the above figure.
Step 3
To draw the straight slot you have to select 3 points.
Drag the mouse pointer to sketch area and click the mouse left button to set the “Point 1” which is shown in the above figure.
Drag the pointer to left side (in figure) to set the “point 2”.
Again drag it to set the “point 3” and that way you can complete the Straight slot drawing.

Additional Info: Slot Sketching Property Manager
The property manager of slots sketching tools helps to adjust the dimensional and their positions in the X-Y axis or plane. Let us see the each components of the property manager menu.
Slot Type: In this section, you can select any rectangle type such as straight, centerpoint straight, 3 point arc and centerpoint arc slot.
Existing Relations: If you select the each portion of the slot by using “select” tool, you can see the existing relations.
Parameters: here you set the dimension of your slot dimensions and position on the plane you selected.
The Callout command now can be used to retrieve slot information from the model.

Place a slot callout and extract the model information when you select Feature Callout from the Type list on the Callout command bar.
Previously, this option was named Hole Callout.
Predefine the slot information that you want to retrieve into the callout using the Dimension Style dialog box, and modify the callout information using the Callout Properties dialog box.
Use the same property text codes for simple slots and counterbore slots as you do for holes to extract the size and depth information into a drawing callout. In addition, two new property text codes are available to extract slot length:
%PH (Path Length) , which is the sum of the lengths in the slot sketch.
%SH (Overall Length) , which is the same as the path length for slots with flat ends, plus the slot width for slots with arc ends.
